The North Central Steam and Gas Engine Club of Edgar, Wisconsin
held their 15th annual steam and gas show on the weekend of August
29 and 30, 1987, at the farm of Kurt Umnus.
Featured at the event were restored vintage gas engines, steam
and gasoline tractors, threshing machines, and antique toy farm
machinery. Demonstrations included lumber sawing, threshing, and
plowing with vintage tractors.

Gary Schacht’s 1916 Case 65 HP engine pulling an 8 bottom
John Deere plow, accompanied by a team of horses pulling a water
wagon to supply the engine, allowing for non-stop plowing.
