Last July 15, 16 and 17 we had our Reunion. We had 17 steam
engines and 5 tractors, not counting the models. We had Bakers,
Advance, Gaar-Scott, Minneapolis, Port Huron, Reeves, Huber,
Farquhar, Frick and Russell. The tractors were Aultman Taylor and
Rumely Oil-pulls. We had 4 Separators, 2 Clover Hullers, one corn
Husker and a hand-feed Separator.
We threshed and had a saw-mill running all 3 days. On Friday and
Saturday nights we had an open air round and square dance. On
Sunday afternoon we had steam engine races, Separator setting
contest, threshing, sawing and a coon chase.
We held election in October and the following officers and
Directors were elected for 1961. Sylvester B. Ditmer, President;
Charley E. Ditmer, Vice-president; Harold Ary, Treas.; Mildred Ary,
Secretary. Directors are: Elmer Egbert, Art Heiland, Roscoe
Shiverdecker, Homer Holp, Hugh Hartzell, Clark Davidson and Asa
Humston. Rev. Lillie Black was named Chaplain of the
Association.
