It seems so odd to write to you the first of November for the
January-February issue. I am just not used to working that far
ahead. Elmer says that is the way it has to be done. Ho is the

With the thought that you will get this before Christmas let me

Elmer said I was to tell you folks at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, that
the cold spell you had September 6th arrived in Enola, Pennsylvania
November 9th. He thinks it must have de-toured or fell asleep at
the wheel. It took the Rev. Mr. Covery and he only two days to make
the trip.
