Our all new Quilt Show and Sale is just pieces and patches but
when all put together it’s something you won’t want to
miss. Come see it, it’s new for us and you. It will be held in
the ambulance hall and is one of the new attractions this year at
the 34th Farmers’ and Threshermen’s Jubilee to be held
September 4,5, 6 and 7, in New Centerville, PA, 9 miles south of
Somerset on Route 281.

Over 20 steam engines will be on display demonstrating
threshing, saw milling, shingle making, well drilling and making
cider. The 800 HP Chicago pneumatic diesel engine, the 150 Reeves
propane gas engine and the 75 HP Fairbanks Morse engine will be in
operation. Flour from the stone burr mill will be for sale along
with handmade brooms and good fresh cider made in the 1900 cider
mill. For more information contact Clark Brocht, R.D. 3, Rockwood,
PA 15557, or phone 814-926-3142.
