G. H. GARVER, JR., of Rt. 1, Owensville, Missouri, answered
the
call of the Golden Whistle April 20, 1995 at the age of 67. He
was a very active member of the Owensville Old Thresher Show for 32
years. He was a building contractor and heavy equipment
operator.
He was a charter member and hauled engines for the shows, and
did a very good job. He owned two fine engines, an 18 HP double
cylinder Keck-Gonnerman #1573, and a 16-60 double Nichols and
Shepard. Always a very dedicated member in everything; all engines
he hauled always had a safe journey to their destinations. He is
sadly missed by all who knew him.
