BERNIS B. BROWN passed to the beyond May 3rd, 1960. We will try
to have a write-up on this interesting man in our next issue.
ERNEST P. STEGEMOLLER, age 75, died in his home at Napoleon,
Indiana. Funeral services were held Friday, April 1, 1960. Ernie
was a member of The Pioneer Engineers Club of Indiana Inc. for many
years, always willing to help out with any work to be done for the
Club. Ernie and John J. Menchhofer were friends for many years and
back in 1910 worked for a contractor building ‘pikes’ in
Ripley County. John pulled the Rock Crusher with an 18 hp Russell
Engine and Ernie operated the Steam Drill in the quarry.
