This print is from an old woodcut from the kingdom of Saxony,
Germany. The caption reads: ‘For many decades the Lokomobile
has been used used in agriculture, specially for powering thresher
machines and plowing.’

Lokomobile seems to be the name for any boiler mounted engine
whether it’s a stationary, portable, or traction engine.

In this cut we see a cable drum belted to a portable. Notice in
the upper right the horse pulling a plow backwards while the plow
in the foreground is being pulled forward by the cable.
