Labor Day Weekend is a popular time for engine shows all over
the country. One interesting show in the East held at that time is
the Early Engine Club show, held in conjunction with the
Schaghticoke Fair, in schaghticoke, New York, near Albany.
The Schaghticoke Fair is a large fair, offering all the
traditional treats of a country fairrides for the kids and
On the grounds of the fair is a farm museum with a very nice
collection of antique farm equipment.
The club’s members exhibit primarily gas engines and some
tractors, but one member, Floyd Hill of 5 Fern wood Drive,
Loudenville, New York 12211, exhibits a steam boiler, which is
shown on this page with his grandson in the background.
