We attended four big Reunions in a row:
First: Rough & Tumble, commonly called Kinzers. A good show
— lots to see. The Museum. Old engines of makes you seldom see. It
rained all day Friday. Saturday was clear but not until evening was
the mud getting stiff enough to walk on. Very good crowds!
Second: American Threshermen’s Association of Highland,
and one of the ‘movingist’ shows I have witnessed. There
was something doing all the time!
Third: Central States, known as Pontiac. Always a good show.
People were turned away Sunday as there was no place to park the
cars.
Fourth: Mid-West Old Threshers, spoken of as Mt. Pleasant. This
is one of the largest shows of all. Big display of engines and, for
model engines it excels all. Some very beautiful home-built engines
up to 6 hp. Traction and portable.
