Unidentified Farm Equipment
I am writing this letter to you at the request of Harlen Maier. He has been receiving Farm Collector for quite a few years. Believe it or not, he just had his 100th birthday and is still going strong.
A little history about Harlen: he comes from South Dakota and has been, and still is, a very industrious individual. He still takes care of his 3-bedroom home, cooks, bakes, does his own yard work, and still drives. He really is an amazing man. He gave me these two photos of tractors and farm equipment that he remembers very little about. He wanted to ask if you could help identify them and give any information about their use. He believes his father had very similar equipment on the farm when he was a boy.
Thank you in advance for time and help.
-Margaret Maisel
Hello Margaret and Harlen, you both seem like incredible individuals, and us here at Farm Collector are happy to hear from you! From what I can tell, it looks like an earlier tractor design from around the change from steam power to gasoline and diesel. I don’t have any more specific information though.
If any of you reading this have more information on these machines, email Editor@FarmCollector.com and we’ll pass on the information to Harlen and Margaret!
