This mystery tool measures 6-1/2 inches long by 5-1/2 inches wide. It has eight spikes, each 2 inches long. The circular base measures 2-3/4 inches wide, the plunger measures 2-1/2 inches long and the handle measures 4 inches. Cast on its handle: “Pat Pend.”

This mystery tool’s interior area measures 5 inches by 6-3/4 inches; its spikes measure 2-1/4 inches. Markings: “4 1/2 Pat. Pend.” It has a lock and corresponding key. Hinged at center.
