October 2013 Mystery Tool E
This mystery farm tool was found at an auction. It was identified as a posthole digger, but it’s not. The handles work in the opposite manner of those on a posthole digger. When the handles are closed, the jaws go shut; when the handles are opened, the jaws open. There is an eyelet in the hinge. The handles measure 55 inches long.
