Come see what actually built this great country at the
Historical Construction Equipment Association’s national
convention in Petersburg, Kentucky, September 23-25, 1994. It will
offer tons of dirt moving, ground breaking, earth shaking antique
construction equipment.
An attraction at the 1993 convention was a 1945 Caterpillar D-4
nostalgic. See a Caterpillar 40 diesel bulldozer stripping topsoil
while a 1937 Bucyrus-Erie 10B shovel moves a sand pile.
These and many more tractors, trucks, bulldozers, shovels, and
draglines can be seen operating, everything from horse drawn to
horse-powered. It is not only a unique experience but also the
preservation of antique construction equipment.
The convention’s location is just a few miles west off of
Interstate 75 along the banks of the Ohio River. For more
